'Realizing the Vision' of a World Inspired by Glass

        A World Inspired by Glass

Glass is at the heart of some of the most spectacular innovations shaping the modern world —?and Corning continues to lead the conversation among top companies bringing those inventions to life. Those collaborations were in full swing last month at the Corning-sponsored “Realizing the Vision” symposium at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.

“We’re forming a community of companies who share Corning’s vision of a connected world,” said Dr. Waguih Ishak, division vice president and director of the Corning West Technology Center in nearby Palo Alto. “It’s a future where we address many things that matter to people —?good health, good communication, good entertainment, and so much more.”

The symposium —?the third based on ideas Corning introduced in its futuristic “A Day Made of Glass” videos —?drew more than 200 change-minded leaders to explore new possibilities that breakthroughs in technology and materials science are now making possible.
